At the inquest a verdict - of suicide while temporarily insane was - returned. t ) SUDDEN DEATH. 3 Foxton, January 9. • ■ Arthur M'Cormack, aged 101 "years. - whoso parents reside in Woodville", died - .suddenly at the residence of Mr. Wilf liain Hart, -while on lioliday. At the I inquest this morning, before Mr. Horn- ' blow, Acting-Coroner, a verdict was 1 returned that death was due to cardiac 1 failure following an attack of biliary ! colic. On Saturday r.ight Mr. Stephen Cox, - of I'utiki, was crossing the Wanganui J town bridge when he saw a man walk 1 on to a pontoon, and apparently plunge s into the river. The swift ebb tide a quickly carried him under the bridge, i and that was the lastw;een of him. - Three men, who were in the vicinity, r promptly secured a boat, and com- - rnenced a search, but without result. 3 A drover is roported missing. Ho has r not been seen since he left his horse - and dogs at a stable in Wanganui.
