A JOCKEY'S DEATH

' An inquest concerning the death of f the jockey John Cannond Leslie Chaafe. ] aged sixteen years, who was killed 1 whilst riding in the Settlers' Handicap : at the Northern Wairoa. Racing Club's J meeting on Saturday, was opened on Saturday evening, before Mr. Thomas ' 'Webb. Coroner. Evidence of identification was given; also that of Dr. 1 Crump, who deposed that, death was 3 due to concussion of the brain.
