Tho Inverell correspondent of tho "Sydney .Morning Herald" says: —"The only man on the land hero who is having a good time is tho dairy farmer. The growth of pasture has been extraordinary, and the returns from tho cow havo been extraordinary also, lieturns of 355. per cow per month are quite a common thing. Mr. Draper, Bannockburn, £2 2s. from a herd of SO cows. This result has been now quite eclipsed by Mr. A. T. Hapgood, whose herd of 23 last month netted him £2 ss. 9d. Unfortunately a great many dairymen when the dry weather set in and wheat was bringing a good price got rid of their herds and went in for wheat. Their fellow-dairy-'men who hung on are now reaping a rich reward."
