THE MUTTON SHEEP BOOM
When it comes to average prices per head for British export sheep (says tho "American Sheopbreeder"), IIJI6l I JI6 hus beaten all previous years. They were 20 dollars per head higher than any year sinco 189-1. Argentina paid just, doublo tho prico of 1914; Uruguay 30 dollars per head more than last year, and Australia skinned 'em all at 122 dollars per head over 1915. American purchases for 1916 ivero very light, the Harding importation being Tiio principal one. If tho war ends before next June wo predict record-breaking' imports of all breeds. Wo'vo simply got to havo them. Oodles of money for the Yankee sheep importer next year. Never in the history of purebred sheep has tho supply been so low. AVe could import 10,000 'pedigreed sheep from Great Britain next year and sell every hoof at auction and not half try. Nothing like' tho demand for purebred stock has over been known in America.
