CAPTAIN BLATKIE OF THE CALE- ' DONIA. London, December 19! In the House of Commons Mr. Bonar Law said the German Government had given an assurance that Capt. BlaiMe, of the steamer Caledonia,, would not be shot. Germany considered that the Caledonia was an armed cruiser, and that Capt. Blaikio only did his duty.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
