The annual cricket match between Wangamii and Wellington Colleges commenced to-day, in brilliant weather and on a wicket affected by tho rain, but which gradually improved. Batting first, Wangamii found run-getting difficult, tho bowlers getting a lot" of turn on the ball. The home side wero all gut for ISS. Tho principal scorers were Mowbray 31, Smith 35, and Godfrey 28. Morton was the best of tho visiting bowlers. Wellington fared much worse with the bat. In tho second innings Wangamii have lost fivo wickets for 119 runs, tho principal scorers being Mowbray 14, Knight 22, Montague 26, anrTSmith (not out) 26.
