HEMP AND TOW GRADING

Tiie total number of bales of hemp graded during November was 14,738, as compared with 12,917 for the corresponding .period of last year, an increase of 1821 bales. For trie twelve months ended November 30, the number of bales graded was 149,627, as compared with 113,731 for the previous twelve months, an increase oi 35,890 bales.

During tlie month 3626 bales of tow were dealt with, as compared with 3569 for the corresponding month of last year, an increase of 57 bales. For the twelve months ended November 30, the number of bales graded was 41,258, as compared with 30,335 for the previous twelve months, an inorease of 10,923 bales. During the month the number of bales of stripper slips graded was 465, as compared with 731 'for the corresponding month of last year, a decrease of 266 bales.
