TWO CHEESE CASES
SUPREME COURT ACTIONS. In the Supreme Court yestoiday, before the Chief Justice (Sir Robert Stout), proceedings were takon for a declaratory judgment in the matter of the. Wahvera Dairy Company v. Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd. A decision was sought as to tho construction of a contract to supply fifty tons of clieeso by the plaintiffs to tho defendants. Sinco the making of tho contract the export license fee had come into oporation, and a point at issue was whether the oontract involved its cancellation owing to the action of tlio Government. Another question was whether the company were bound by a contract made by its secretary.
Mr. T. Page, of Eketahuna, represented the plaintiffs, and Mr. C. P. Slierrett, K. 0., with whom was Mr. T. Young, represented the defendants. Judgment was reserved.
In a similar case, the. Hamua Dairy Company v. Gray, Sir. Page represented the plaintiffs, and Mr. P. Levi tho defendant.
