Messrs.. Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Ltd., report having held their weekly salo in their Martanborough sale yacds, on Thursday, when they offered a good yaiding of sheep and oattle, as advertised. There was a good attendance of buyers from all parts of the district, and competition being keen', we had «. total clearance, at prices well above late sales. The following is a range of the values received 4-tootli to f.m. ewes, witli 100 per cent. b.f. lambs, 625. 6d.; f.m. shorn owes, with, 100 per cent, lambs, 38s. 3d.; woolly forward ewee, 435., Bd.; woolly 6-tooth. wethers, 445. 7d.; woolly, hoggets, 345. 3d. The sheep sold readily, but oattle wore a shade easier, young heifers in particular failing to reach vendors' reserves.
