ENTERTAINED BT GLASGOW COR- ■ PORATION. Austrslian->T<>w Zealand' Cable Association (Rec. November 23, 8.15 p.m.) London, November 22. The Glasgow City Corporation entertained Mr. Masscy, who. replying to the toast of his health, dwelt on the increased cost of living, which was largely due to tho scarcity of shipping. Great Britain ought to deal with the freight question. He had not himself come to suggest a remedy, but it was useless to sit with folded hands praying for the war to end. They must concentrate all thoir energies. "Wo are able to hold out longer than tho other fellow."
