Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report on their Palmerston North sale, held on Ootober 24. There was » lair entry of oattle, including a number of yearling and two-year Shorthorn and Holstein bulls. Tho following wero the prices realised:—Fat cows, light, £9 18s.; empty cows, with calves, £7 14s. to £9 65.; storo cows, forward, £8 45.; dairy cows, in milk, £9, £10, £11, £12; springing cows, £11 55., £11 2s. 6d., £12, £12 10s., to £13 65.; yearling heifers, £5; twenty-month Holstein heifers, £7 to £7 16s. Dalgety and Company, Limited, Palmerston, report having a fair entry of both sheep and cattle at their Taibapo sale on Wednesday, all of which changed hands at prices as below:—Sheop: Small mixed hoggets, 225. 6d. to 255.; mixedaged ewes, with small .percentage lambs, 315.; mixed- black-faced hoggets, 305.; small four-tooth wethers, 30a. Bd.; medium four-tooth wethers, 345. 10d.; fat and forward wethers, £2 Is. Oattle: Two-year heifers, £4, .155.; good two-year heifers, £7 3s. to £8 7s. 6d.; fifteen-month steers, £6 145.; light fat cows, £9 2s. 6d.; cows and calves, £8 12s. 6d. to £8 175.; two and a half and thretfyear steers, £12 Is.; fat cows, £13 ss.

Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having hold their monthly sale at Otaki on October 25.' Tho yarding of sheep and cattle came forward well up to advertised numbers, and met with a particularly good reception from a good tendance of buyers. - Sheep were in Igood demand, and oattle were very keenly competed for, prices showing a considerable advance on late sales. Competition was fairly keen, and the bulk oi the yarding changed hands at well np to late rates. The Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report:—Wo held our annual spring cattle fair at Eketahuna on Friday, .when' we had an ( entry of 500 head, the quality of tho cattle being better than U6ual.
