THE WEATHER
The day opened yesterday with a promise of wet, and several heavy sliowors fell during the morning. The stcy cleared as the hours wore on, and gradually assumed a sereno and settled aspect, reflected beautifully on. the placid waters of the harbour, strangely calm after their tempestuous appearance of the last few days. The barometer at present is unsteady, and ii expected to drop soon. Tha. weather, we are toid, promises to be humiTi and cloudy, with variable winds, moderate to strong, from the southwest and veering to tho north-west.
