OVER THE HILL
NINETEENTHS ON THE MARCH. The march of the Nineteenth Infant try 'Reinforcements from Tauherenikau. Camp to Trenth;im was begun shortly; after seven o'clock yesterday morning,' tlio troops being led by the. Featherston Camp and Trumpet Bands. Featlierston township v. - as passed about 1(1 o'clock and the draft, which is consid-< errd to be a remarkably fit one, accomplished the march to tho Summit be-, fore hinoh. After lunch tho march was continued to Kaitoke, wltero the force bivouacked last night.
In former marches over the Hill, tho A.S.C. work, in the way of providing for the men in the bivouacs and carrying their kits from the railway has been dono by a detachment of men and wagons from Trentham. On this occasion, a. small detachment of t.he A.S.C. preceded the column over the Rimutakas, and in conjunction with the A.S.C. from Trentbam and: the advance party from Featb.erston, made • complete arrangements for a) comfortablo bivouac. Rainy conditions prevailed during the march, but tba weather cleared towards rfplit. Today the troops will move on to Upper Hntt and will engage in night operations to-night, marching into Trentliam during, tho forenoon of Saturday.
