Vancouver, October 20. Mr. Harold Beauchamp, chairman of the Bank of New Zealand, has completed a tour of America. Ho arranged with Montreal and New York banksrs for a system of dollar letters of credit. This, he states, will not necessarily abolish sterling credit, but will greatly assist business between Australasia and America.
He says that while New York is at present the world's t/oney contro, American bankers admit that as. soon as the war ends_ London will occupy a more commanding' financing position than ever before.
