"Tho following resolution has been passod by tho Court and Common Council of tho City of London:

Mr. Massey receives the Dootorship of Cambridge on November 18, and attends Privy Council on Tuesday, when the King presides. Mr. Massey and Sir Joseph Ward visit the troops in France, on October 80. Mr. Massey has authorised the expenditure of £2700 to provide a recreation room, and other additional accommodation at Hornchurch for solfliers and comforts for tho winter. He has also authorised tho construction of a social hall at Walton Hospital. - OUTFLOW OF EMIGRANTS , (Rec. October 22, 5.5 p.m.) London, October 21. ■ Mr. Massey, in a special interview, said that from inquiries made he is convinced there' will ho a,great outflow of emigrants after, the war, which it is essential-should be directed to the overleas Dominions, bi'„t_the repatriation of sisty thousand Soldiers will prevent New Zealand adopting an immigration golicy this year.
