The' Board of Trade was busy yesterday inquiring into the rights and wrongs.of the demand of the butter producers that they should be allowed to increase the local price, by 2d. pet! lb., and to export without restriction. The Minister in charge (the Hon. W. D.' S Mac Donald) expected to receive tlw board's report almost immediately, buti ho stated that he would not, at once make it public It would have to go • to Cabinet in.order that its reconi-' meridations might he considered. The proposed increase in the price of biltter was discussed at a meeting of the Vogeltown and Mornington Muni* oipal Electors' Association held last evening, when it was decided to submib a protest to the Government re the increase and to call upon them to prevent it, as a further increase would.' be a severe injustice to the commune ity.
