LATEST RECRUITS. _ Only three fit men registered yesterday at the City.Recruiting Office, now located in the Town Hall. The average percentage of unfits in recent months has been about 40 per cent. During the last three months tho proportion of men rejected has been almost oxactiy 40 por cent." A misapprehension exists among, those recruits who have already registered as to their obligation to report themselves, in order that they may take the oath of allegiance—and fivo 'shillings. V It is not intended that theso men should call at tho office when they choose for this purpose, and tliosd who bavo come during tho last two or three days have been sent away again. Tho registered men will bo called up to take tho oath in small groups. Twelve are oallcd up,for Saturday, twelve for Monday, and twentyfour for Tuesday, and so tho work will go on from day to day until all tho registered men have been sworn in as soldiers. , Tho three recruits who registered yesterday wore:— W.
