Tho Y.M.C.A. lias a great, iccord this season, going through witliout defeat. Tho Marist team lias also a good record. A great game is looked forward to. A chargo for admission will be made, the proceeds to go to tho fund for comforts for our boys at tho front. SCHOOLS' COMPETITION. Tho final of the Wellington school championship was played at Porirua on "Wednesday afternoon, the contesting teams being Porirua, winnors of tho country division, and Marist (Thoradon), winners of the South Division. There was 110 score in first half. The second spell opened with an attack by Porirua, which was kept up until Lambert shot a beautiful goal from outsido left. Porirua, 1; Marist, 0. Marist made two shots, which, struck the cross-bar, and bounded into play. These efforts spurred tho local lads on, and Lambert, obtaining possession, excellently centred to Wi Neera, who had 110 difficulty in beating tho keeper. Porirua, 2; Marist, 0. Marist now pressed, ' but could not break through the fine defcnce put up by Davis and Thompson. When time was called the local lads were again going strong, and the game ended with Porirua champions for 1816, and winners of tho W.F.A. School Banner, the Thistle Cup, and a set of medals—one for each member of the team. • Mr. E. Windlcy was referee. The Porirua boys' rccord in school matches for tho season isPlayed 7, won 7, lost none, | 52 goals for, 1 goal against, points 14. ,
