AN IMPOSING PARADE
SEVENTEENTHS REVIEWED AT •FBATHEBSTON. •., 'An imposing parade was held at Featherstoa Camp yesterday : morning, when His Excellency the Governor renewed the whole of the Seventeenth 'Reinforcements. On. arriving 'at the parade ground where the troops were drawn up in companies, the Governor was met by the Camp Commandant, Lieut.-Colonel N. :P. Adams, with • whom were the Camp Adjutant, Major Neville Newcomb, and Assistant-Adju-tant, Captain Silcock. : '.' The' parade, which comprised the in • fanny, mounted men, artillery (horsed ' with guns), and specialists, wero played en march by the Brass and Trumpet Bands (under Bandmasters Wicks and Chegwin respectively). His Excellency afterwards addressed 'the officers, and visited the canvas camp. Tben, on horseback, accompanied by the Headquarters Staff, the Governor paid a visit to Greytown Hospital and afterwards lunched at the Officers' Institute and inspected the hospital. The Defence Minister (the Hon. Jas. Allen), and Brifjadip.r-General Sir I '.Alfred Robin (Oomminfant if *de . Forces), were also at Featherston, and in the afternoon inspected the camp, fche cooks' lines, the dental hospital, and other deDartments.
