CARGO PILFERING
TWO OF NIAGARA'S CREW SENT TO'. GAOL. By lelegraph—Press Association. Auckland, September 19. At the Police' Court to-day Domenick M'Donagh and Albert West, two of the crew of the steamer Niagara, were sentenced each to six months' hard labour for thefts from the cargo. One of the accused had in his bunk a pillow stuffed with 120 pairs of ladies' silk stockings,_ valued at £12 10s., and the other's kit. contained a number of pairs of ladies' shoes, valued at £8 16s. The goods had been stolen from the ship's cargo.
