The Castlcpoint County Council have purchased a motor road roller and a stone-crushing outfit. • A sum of £138 2s. lOd. has been fwovided in Masterton towards a fnnd or securing comforts for tho New Zealand Wireless Troop in Mesopotamia. A sum of £50 has also been c6ntributed bj the Wellington executive of the Post and Telegraph staff. The AVairarapa branch of tho Returned Soldiers' Association is to be incorporated at once, and an effort will probably be made to secure a local club room. Tho Solway Syndicate has made a final contribution of £230 7s. 3d. to the Masterton A. and P. Association. The total contributions made by this syndicate to the association now amount to £1731.
