London, August 10. In the House of Commons. Mr. Bonar Law (.Secretary of State for the Colonies) explained that the Imperial Government had thought it dcsirablo that Mr. Fisher and Sir T. Mackenzie (High Commissioners of Australia and New Zealand respectively) should servo on tho Dardanelles Commission. They had not been appointed by their own Governments, and should not bo regarded as representing them. The Commission would meet within a fortnight.
