NORTHLAND FIRE BRIGADE
At the City Council last evening authority was granted for the erection of a temporary structuro for use by the Northland Kire Brigade 011 the, site of tlio present building (which Luildmg jfi now dilapidated and unsafe), and lat«r, when tho erecLiou of tlio larger building for permanent use by tho brigade is undertaken, the temporary structurewill be shifted to tho now site and utilised as part of the larger scheme. It was dccided also that tho council should reserve the section of corporation land at the junction of Kaihuia Street and Northland Rond, containing 31.9 perches, for fire brigade purposes.
