Opposition ■is <being' stirred up against such a' step, but the Minister of Agriculture intends to proceed with the Bill. In order to devise a measure .which will effectively meet the':situation, and, at tho same time commend itself to the interests concerned;: .Mr. Hagelthorn -is*, ascertaining the views _of the several parties before he determines'on the final form of the draft. .He' is conferring with exporters and' stock' agents, and proposes to give tho, farmers of the : State 'full- opportunity fortho ' expression of their views.
