GETTING THE VESSEL READY FOR - SEA. By. Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, July 11. Repairs to the Aurora are bcinjj pushed oil rapidly at Port Chalmers. Caotain Stenhouse is daily expecting instructions to proceed to the Falkland Islands to pick up the men stranded on Elephant Island. During the last two days 22 men have been placed by the Government at the disposal of the contractors, and a great deal of assistance in the way of timber has been received from the Government and tho Harbour Board. If the vessel is required to visit Elephant Island, sho will need to leave Dunedin again in December to rescue Captain Mackintosh and party in Ross Sea.
