Bales .were made at the following prices:— Medium lambs, 21e.; cows, £6 65.; two and a half-year empty heifers, £5 le. to £5 55.; eightecn-montns empty heifers, 63 Ms.;. weaner heifers.- 335.; two and a half-year steers, ,E7 'Bs. 6d.; spring calving heifers. £6 1?.; dairy cows, .67 to £3. The, New Zealand Loan, and Mercantile Agency C 0.,. Ltd., Bannevirke, report having held their weekly Dannevirke sale in *>'ie Miller's Koad yards on' Friday. There was a moderate entry of sheep and a satisfactory yarding of cattle. Both sheep and cattle sold well in comparison with recent ruling rates. Quotations: Ewes in lamb, 325. 3d.; weaner heifers, £2 10s. to £3; springing heifers, £7 to £8 10s.; steers (20 months). £5 18s.: empty heifers (20 months), £3 10s.: two-year heifers,: £6-7s. 5d.; fat cows. £6-lJs. 6d. to £8 10s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report:—At FeUding on Friday wo had a good yarding ot sheep and a fair entry of cattle, and we hare to report a satisfactory clearance. Messrs. Dalgcly and. Co., Ltd., report having offered n good yarding of. both sheep and cattle at their Dannevirke sale held oil Friday. . Prices throughout were good, and showed au.. average all round on'last sale's report. Ewes. 1 in laihb were eagerly sought. after, and although we passed in oue large line at auction, at the early part of the sale we had no difficulty in disposing of them by private treatv. Mr. G. B.: Allan's consignment of' Stud Bomney ewes realised from 3J to 4} uuineas (the latter prico being, paid for a. lino of 50 by a purchaser from Central Otsgo).
