LOCAL -MARKET CONDITIONS. Fruit ' inspectors of the Horticulture Division of the Department of Agriculture report as follows/on the condition of locally-grown fruit and vegetables in shops and auction rooms, and tlic market condition of these for tho month of June:— Auckland.—Business lias been fairly good. Average prices were: Apples, extra dessert, 95.; good, 7;. 6(1.; cooking, Is. t.o 7s. Pears, dessert, 95.; cooking, "s. Grapes, 2s. to 2s. Gd. Lemons, prime, 10s.; good, 7s. Passions-, '10s. Wellington.—Fair demand lor apples and pears. . Consignments have arrived in good supply, but tbe average ft not up to the proper standard; vegetables were in goo<( supply, with excellent prices. Cut flowers were conspicuous—demand good. Average prices were;— Apples, prime Jonathan, Bs. to 8?. Gel.; others, is. to Gs.; Dunn's favourid l , prime, 6s. to 75.; others, 3s. Gd. to 4s. Gd. Stunners, 7s. Gd. to Bs.; others, 4s. to ss. . Fears, Winter Nelis, Gs. Gd.; Winter Cole, Gs. Gd. half-case.
