The mine manager of tho Hauraki Reefs, Ltd., reports under date June 23:— During tho past week gtoping was in hand over the No. 3 level, and some good crushing dirt was obtained. Not much workwas dono on the ; No. Z face, as the men were employed on repair work elsewhere. In the VVynyardton workings some strong gold-bearing quartz was . obtained from the east' face. Tho. crosscut from the intermediate level to cut this reef tapped tho quartz last Wednesday, and up to the present very. little reef has been 1 broken.
