LODGE MEETING
The half-yearly meeting of the Pride of Brooklyn Lodge, No. SS, U.A.0.D., was held on Thursday evening, P.A., Bro. Cronk presiding in the absence of A.B. Bro. Hunter. The secretary reported that thero were no sick members on the lodge. The half-yearly balance-sheet showed a good increase ail round, and the sick pay lor tho last half-yeai was the lowest on record, An invitation from Pacific was announced, and it was proposed to pay them an official visit on June 12, v.'lien their newly-elected officers will be installed. It was proposed to present P*A. Bro.' Curzons with a diploma and collar for the capable way in which he has carried out his duties as officer of the various chairs. After the usual business was over, the installation of officers tookplace, D.P; Bro. Abel officiating, with P.D.P.Bro. Hunter (Ivanhoe, Dunedin) as 11.C'., assisted by l'.A. Bro. Rubinstein (Pacific). A very hearty vote of thanks was given to D.P. Bro. Abel for the manner in which ho had carried out his duties.
