'LOCAL CLUB AFFAIRS. Good progress continues to lie made in the Ngaio Club's annual handicap tournament. A very close finish is expected. ' - Tile annual handicap tourney of the Wellington South Club was comnilfncod on Thursday evening, there being twelve competitors. The results o£ the opening round were as follow, each player's classification being shown in parentheses: Pure-lias (.1) won from Thompson (III), Ci. P. Anderson (I) won from A.
