Customs duty collected at the port of Wellington on Saturday amounted to Os. Bd. LONDON WOOL SALES. The Department of Agriculture, Industries, and Commerce has received the following. cablegram/from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, dated London, June 8, 1916, in 'regard to the London wool sales:—"The wool sales have closed firm for all kinds of wool. There has been an active demand by Home buyers. Prospects for all wools next series are favourable. Fine crossbreds, all grades, Is. lOd. to 2s. per lb.; medium crossbre.'ls, all grades, Is. sd. to Is. Bd. per lb.; coarse crossbreds. all grades, Is. 3d. to Is. 6d. per' lb.; superior merino, Is. 9d. to Is. lid.; medium, Is. sd. to Is. Ed.; inferior, Is. Id. to. la. 4d.
