COMMANDEERING CHEESE

At a large and representative meeting of cheese factory directors to-day a resolution was carried that the price forcommamlcercd cheese should be fixed for the corning season at a price which would equal the average price received for all of last season's cheese on the open London market, or a price not less than 9icl. per. lb., f.o.b. at grading store. A committee was appointed to draw up details, re grade shipping,, and storing and finance, to be submitted by the W.D.A. to the Government as the torms acceptable to the Taranaki cheese factories. Failing the Government accepting the terms the committee will- meet ■ Government representatives in. Taranaki. :
