MEMORIAL SERVICE
TO THE LATE EARL KITCHENER. His Excellency the Governor has requested thai a service of commemoration of Earl Kitchener should, be held in St. Paul's Pro-Cathedral on Sunday evening, at 7 o'clock. This will be held instead of the. usual which . will. be rcn'dered at'hii''dtirlier'hour.'' 'His Excellency Trill attend, in semi-State. Th<j Prime Minister and some members,of his Cabinet. and General Robin and 6taff 'will also jbe presents The Bisliop of Wellington will preach the sermon. ' . ' The' following message .was issued from N:Z. Military Headquarters yesterday:— A memorial service out 1 of resnect to the lata Earl Kitchener will be Mid on. Sunday, June 11, at all cities, towns, and townships at usual morning hour. All members of N.Z.S.C., Permanent Staff, Permanent, Force, Territorials, eauets, rifle clubs, G.T.S., National Reserve, veterans, aud Nursing Service Sisters will attend at their ordinary place of worship in uniform. O.C. districts will use their own discretion as to procedure and marcnwig units to church service or assembling tliem for attendance at their usual places of worship. Co-operation with the clergy, and civio authorities is to bo encouraged. •The whole of, the troops m Trentham •Camp will attend a special memorial service to-morrow, in of the Jate Lord Kitchener The service will commence at ll a.m.,-and Defence- Headquarters. Staff-will attend. It will 1* con. ductal by the Trentham Camp chjplam, Mid-So address-will Slivered by the Bishop of Wellington (Dr. Sprott).
