THE ICING'S THEATRE. r<rr? 0 screon ' n S of tho feature drama, Tho Christian," at tho King's Theatre last night drew anothor largo attendance. The picture was written by and produced under the supervision of Mr. Hall Caine, tho well-known novelist. There is no lack throughout the screening of tense emotional scenes, while tho' photography is in places remarkably good. Mr. Derwent Hall Caine, son of tho author, does well in the character of' John Storm, while the other parts are also fairly well acted. Tho picturo will be screened throughout the week. EVERYBODY'S THEATRE. An interesting addition was made yesterday to tho programme being screened at Everybody's Theatre. This was a film which has arrived in record time from England of "Anzac Day in London," showing the great cheering crowds honouring the heroes of' Gallipoli as thoy marched to tho historic memorial service. New Zealand and Australian troops wern warmly applauded as they appeared on the screen, as was the close-up view of Their Majesties the King and Queen, who attended the service. Tho balance of tho programmo consists of the bright, clever coniedy-drama in four reels, entitled "The ■Wild Goose Chase," which serves to introduce Ina Clairo and an excellent company of players in a most amitsiia; aud. interesting story. "Tho Muffled Bell," a stirring one-act drama, and the "Gaumont Graphic" complete the programme. EMPRESS THEATRE. A special film, which arrived yesterday, "Anzac Day in London,".is being shown at tho Empress Theatre. The picturo shows "tho boys who made history" assembled in Kingsway, and their march through the city to a. celebration service at Westminster Abbey. , Fortunately, the day was bright and snnshiny, which enabled the photographers to get a clear film. The streets were thronged with people, and the enthusiasm displayed was infectious. When the ; announcement, "Tho Now Zealand Division," was thrown on the screen, and our boys who, twelve months ag« landed on the Peninsula, wer« shown with heads erect and stately step, in grand review, tho audience applauded loudly, and repeated the demonstration at tho appearance of General Birdwood, and their Majesties, tho King and Queen. The picture has a special value to stay-at-homes, as it shows how dense a London crowd is when the Metropolis is pn fete. The picturo is shown immediately after the star subject, "The Lights o' Lou- . don." , ; THE DANDIES. Jlr.
