Sergt. W. Juriss, of Christchurch (brother of Mr. 11. Juriss, of Wellington), writes from the Moascar Camp (lsmailia), enclosing a programme of a concert given by the .N.C.O.'s of .tho 4th (New Zealand) Howitzer Battery, and tho chief and ordinary petty officers of H.M.S. Euralyus (formerly,flagship on the Australasian station). The writer discants on. the talent of a Mr. W. H. White (a London drawing-room artist) and Sergt. Swoejioy, of Wellington. The printed programme, howover, is made interesting by the advertisements, which further serve to show the spirit of buoyant humour that -permeates all. tho British -rank's;4from the trenches of Flanders to the sand-driits ofEgypt. Here is a sample advertisement:— "Yachting in the Sunny Mediterranean. H.M. Transport (deleted by Censor) sails at (censored) for (censored). Gentlemen wishinjj to take advantage of this unique opportunity should book right now. This, splendidly appointed yacht has beou" described as 'tho last word in. the refinement of sea travel'—she is (pretty nearly). Pas. sengers, in addition to all the comforts of a floating hotel, may look forward at the end of the trip to some shooting. Submarine thrills provided gratis eu route." Ajiother advertisement reads-:—

"Have you read the latest book on the 'world war'? Fourth edition—How—Hz— er Cert. We Shall Win,' by the author of 'How the Huns Sunk the Beer, etc.'" . Still another: "E —-, photo, spoiler, Hospital Studio, No. 111, Avingyou. 'To' 6ee oneself is to know oneself.' Give me a trial—see j-ourself as you ain't!" The programme (per imprint) was the n-ork of the "Eu—rely— on—us Printeries (hun)-limited."
