WEST COAST REINFORCEMENTS

Tile greatest enthusiasm was displayed at all stations along the West Coast to-clay on the occasion of the departure of recruits for the 16th Reinforcements, una from Wangamii and Taranaki districts alone over 200 men of very fine physique took their departure. Among the quota' were several young farmers who are possessed of considerable means, but are joining the rank and file.
