GOLF
WELLINGTON CLUB'S ANNUAL MEETING. There was an attendance of over thirty members at the annual meeting of the Wellington Golf Club neld en Monday evening. S. tiss was in the chair.
The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Sir Josepii Wat!,, vice-presidonts, Messrs. Jamiis .Webster and D. Stewart; captain, Mr. T. S.Weston; committee, Messrs. E. A. Kubbell, J. A. Pike, 1 W. E. Pearson, and Hi D. Cook; auditors, Messrs. Watkins, Hull, and Wheeler.
In returning thanks for his election as captain, Mr. Weston urged the club to keep the flag flying while many of their members were at the front; ajto to practise economy.
On the motion of Mr. A. S. Biss, a resolution from the Lndies' Committee, respecting tho management of the clubhouse, was received, and it was resolved to go thoroughly into the matter, with a view to making improvements.'
Prior to the general meeting ihc foi lowing ladies' committee was elecwd.~Mesdames Marchbanks (captain), lay, Misses Ewan, M. Tweed, Ruthie, and A. Kennedy.
