RESIGNATION OF ADMIRAL TIRPITZ By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Amsterdam, March 16. The resignation of Admiral von Tirpitz came as<a thunderbolt to Germany, l'he Admiral suffers from overwork and anxiety, aggravated by the failure of his plans and advancing years. The Kaiser reluctantly consented to his resignation. It is expected the Kaiser w'ill bestow a high honour upon Von Tirpitz, CAUSE OF THE RETIREMENT. DISSENSION WITH THE CHANCELLOR. (Rec. March 17, 8.45 p.m.) Stockholm, March 16. Admiral Tirpitz's retirement, is reported to be due to dissensions with Men- von Bethmann Hollweg, the Imperial Chancellor.
