A "produce" race was flown during the week-end, under the auspices of the Hutt Valley Homing Pigeon Society, from Taihape. the- estimated air-line being 118 miles. The results are-as follow: — Whitehead and Booth's Wahine, velocity 1110 yds. per minute, 1; W. and L. Booth's Desert Gold, 1107 yds. per minute, 2; Thomas and Clark's Topsy, 1105 yds. per minute 3. England and Hudson's Rambler, 1101 yds.; A. and J. Booth's Our Darling, 1090 yds.; E. •M'Mahon's Volunteer, 1034yd5.; C. D. and 0. Abrahall's Can't Tell, 1025 yds.
