Palmerston N., January 21. The Manawatu Rifle Association opened its annual meeting ■ to-day. .. The weather conditions were unfavourable, continuous rain falling. There wero 85 competitors. In the Linton Match, 300 yards, F. W. Ching <18 and R. J. King 48 tied.' 11l the Oroua Match, 500 yards, A. Bellamore, W. Kells, 11. J. King, F. J. Soler, C. Engerstrom, and T. Orr each put on 49. In tho Manawatu Match, 600 yards, W. Thomas and J. Dalziell each scored 48.
