" 4A drama entitled "Leah, the Forsaken," was produced by the pupils of St. Bride's Convent in the Town Hall on Wednesday evening. Daniell, was carried unanimously:— ; *'The managers of the Masterton Tech-, nical School desire to call the attention of the Minister of Education to the fact that there is, within a short distance of the town of Masterton, land which may be found to be a desirable eits for a farm .school; .further, that the leases of this land expire in June, 1916, and the managers would ask that before this' land is again leased' the Minister should direct his Department to _ report fully on the educational re- • quirements of the district.". An effort is being made to form a 'National Service League in Masterton, to help returning soldiers to regain thqir former positions, and to, make them welcome, both in 'social and civil life.
