WOUNDED IN EGYPT

RECORDS OF BURIALS.' "K report las been forwarded to the Dofence Department, through Colonel W. E. Collins, from Chaplains W. E. Gillarn, Dutton, <ni(l T. B. Segripfj on No. 1 Hospital Ship. The chaplains state: During our last visit to Egypt we .visited the following hospitals:—Ahbuv^ ena House, : Eloni College (Cairo), Deaconesses, Lady Godless Convalescent Home, and Victoria College, in Alexandria. We sought interviews with New Zealand soldiers wherever we went.: We heard no complaints from any,of. the men, and all seemed grateful for the attention they have received both on the hospital ships and in the base hospitals. , We found that the records of burials at sea and in tho English Cemetery at Alexandria are now very carefully kept. There was . some confusion in the early days of the war in the records of burials at Alexandria. Now, however, .the graves '• are carefully numbered. We wish it fo known that New Zealanders may obtain correct information as to the position of the graves of their relatives in Egypt, by applying to the princinal chaplain at Alexandria. We found tliat Captain Green, at Alexandria, and Captain. M'Donald, at Cairo, both of the Chaplains' Department, are doing splendid work in searching for and ministering To the New Zealanders.
