Wallace, £1 Is.; Mr. and Mrs. Wilterfoss, £1 ; Mrs. F. Johnson, 10s.; Mrs. Post, 10s.; Mrs. C. P. Knight, £1 Is. Total to date, £399 12s. stl. For the purpose of feasting the troops in camp rft Trentham on Thursday next, 1 and at the Town Hall on Christmas Day, all the money subscribed is being pooled. It is estimated that approximately 6000 troops will be banqueted at Trentham on Thursday next, and the services of some 400 ladies will he required to attend to the tables. UPPER HUTT'S CONTRIBUTION. The Mayor (Mr. J. P. Luke) especially wiplies us to acknowledge the* Teoeipt.of a cheque for £33 Is. from the residents of the Upper Hutt district. The letter accompanying the cheque says:' "Besides this there are seven lambs, one calf, and one pig promised, which will be delivered at Trentham on Tuesday, December 22, We will be raising some more locally and mil send it-ill before the end of tfl»e week." In connection with the ladies' effort Mrs. Luke is to meet the ladies of the Upper Hutt at 8 p.m. to-day.
