SWIFTS CLUB MEETING. The annual General meeting of the Swifts Amateur Swimming. Club was held at the Y.M.C.A. Rooms last evening. Mr. W. Skegg presiding. ■ The annual report (already published) and tho balance-sheet, showing a credit .balance of v £2 10s., were* adopted. The election of officers resulted aa follows:—President, Mr. C. P. Skerrett, K.C.; vice-presidents, Messrs. Martin Chapman, K.C., J. P. Maxwell. W. A. Fordham, J. E, Jonkinson, W. SHegg, W. Smith, and_ J. 8. Tripecaptain, Mr. 11. J. Jenlcinson; vice-captain, Mr. C V. Fordham; secretary and treasurer, Mr. F. Wilton; committee, Messrs. E. Vanao. A. H. SStevenson, W. Skegg, R. Richard, H. A. Lamb, P. A. Wilson, J. D, Richardson; starter, Mr. H. A. Lamb: check started, Mr. C. Moore; ' handicappcr, Mr. P. A. Wiltoiv; auditor, Mr. A. H. Stevenson; delegate to Wellington Centre, Mr. A. H. Stevenson.

A discussion followed as to the pros-pects-of the club during the war period. 'It was decided that' tho chief work of the club should be to foster tho junior swimmers and in this connection it was decided that a race be held every week .in which anv school bov could oompets, It- was decided to hold tho 'first of these 'races at Te Aro Baths on Saturday afternoon, December 18.
