Messrs. Dalgoty and Company, Limited, conducted on behalf of the Weieroa, Experimental Farm thoir annual sale of yearling llolstoin and Shorthorn bulls. The sale was conducted on the farm on Tuesday. Tho Holstcin bulls came fonvard in Rood condition, a.nd in the majority of eases wero well grown. Tho Shoi.thoi'll bulls oflcred ware in excellent order, and very keen competition took piaco for some of tho lines olTercd. Holstcins did not elicit the same keen competition as was shown in previous years. A number of bulls went to the South Island, uml some to the Wai'kato. Sorno of tho principal prices realised were as follow:—Yearling llolstein bulls, 43gns., 42gns„ 33gns. (2), and 24gns.; a few liglit-ci'-conditioned bulls made from 15 t*> 20gns. Shorthorns: 43gns., 35gns., 30gns. (2), 25gns., and 20gna- Shorthorn yearling heifers: "Igns., and 2at 17gns. The wellknown' Dominion Oak de Kol was also offered, but as a slight reserve was on this animal no ealo resulted, the bull being passed in at lOOgns. Tho New Zoalond loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd,, report:—On Tuesday wo held a salo of dairy stock on account of Messrs. Smith Bros., Moutoa. The dairy herd had a reputation as heavy milkers, and sold particularly well, 105 cows averaging £9 10s., which, at this stage of tho vnilking season, is highly satisfactory. Tho pigs also met with keen competition, 'l'ho top priccs for cows were £13 10s„ .£l4, £14 10s.; Shorthorn hulls, £9 to £18 10s.; Jersey bull, £10 lte; weauer pigs, 165.; stores, 275.; bacouers, £2 155., £3; sows with litters, £4 155., £7 2s. 6d.; good sows, £4 ss„ £5; empty sows, £2 145., £3 17b. 6d.; young boats, £2 2s.
Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report 011 their Pahiatua stock sale, held on Tuesday last:—Wo had a full yarding of cattle and a limited ono of sheep. Sales were not of t& very Ticen order owing to vendors having been led by the high prices obtained at recent sales, and having nut prohibitive reserves on their cattle. Sales were effected as follow:—Mixed sex hoggets, 15s. 5d.; cood-conditioned 2-tooth ewes and wethers, 18s. 3d.; medium springing heifers, frc.ll £4 u- £5 7fl. 61I.; yearling heifers. £2 15s. to £2 18s.; 11 heifers, £3 25.; 12 empty lielfers and cows, £5 19s. 6d.; fat cows. £11; medium empty cows, £3 12s 6d. to £5 25.; (rood-conditioned empty cows, £6 7s. fid. to £6 155.; 13 3 <ind 4-year, bullocks, £9 10s.; 8 steers, £5 75.; bulls. £4, £4 2s. 6d., £5 10s.. £6 15s„ £8, £8 Bs., £9 to 18tens.
