For that reason aiono the success of this aflnnal event will bo looked forward to by the public in general, and they, oil their part, can further tho association's laudablo aim by assisting iu every way to swell the number of entries, 'by evincing a whole-hearted interest, and by endeavouring to mako the attendance at-the racecourso on November 17 and 18 a record. Entries are coming in freeily for the Show, and from centres as far distant a-s Auckland, Hastings, and Christchurch. , Exhibitors in the stock classes have as a special inducement several notable prizes to bo competed for, tho list including the champion draught horsa 6hields (allotted last year to the Waikato Show at Hamilton), aud two'cups, each valued at £30, presented by the Christohuroh Meat Company, and allotted to the fat sheep and fat cattle classes respectively.
