WANT OF JUDGMENT.

Sir, —Your correspondent "National Reserve," in describing the arrest of a Eoldier in Willis Stre.et last Friday, only, saw the finish of the incident. Had ho been there ten minutes earlier he would have seen the sergeant of the Military, Police in earnest expostulation with the man. It was only after all'peaceable means were rejected that the sergeant procured assistance and arrested him. Inquiry ill tlie proper quarter would 1 have your correspondent as to the reason for the arrest. Ae the Military Police have no means of putting themselves right with the public, it will be only fair to them to publish this.—l am, eto., D. MORRISON. 50 Willis Street. [The Military Police as a rule do their work so admirably that we are very pleased to publish Mr. Morrison's explanation of the incident over which our previous correspondent plainly was in error.]
