ONE MR. H. G. HILL—NOT TWO.
Sir, —There is one point in Mr. H. G. Hill's letter to you I think not made fully clear. Mr. A. R.. Atkinson says Mr. HilL informed the Aliens Board that, as chairman of the Patriotic Society, he had received soveral letters complaining of the condnct of Professor von Zedlitz, and did not produce these to the Aliens Board. Some months ago, in conversation with Mr. Hill, the writer was told many requests had been made to him (Mr. Hill) asking the Patriotic Society to take action and end tlie public employment of an enemy subject, and this, no doubt, is where the error comes in. There has been no question as to the Professor's actions—only as regards the Victoria College employment of an alien. Mr. Hill—and also the Patriotic Society—desorvo the thanks of the community for vigorous action in this matter. —I am, etc., MANAWATTJ.
