PIGEON-RACING
A race was flown from Dannevirke on Saturday, under the auspices of the. Hutt Valley Homing Pigeon Society, for a trophy presented by Mr. L'abbington', of the Crown Pictures, Lower Hutt. The air-line is estimated to bo 88 miles, and the results were:—W. and 'I'. Booth's Lilian, time 2hr. 17min. 22sec., velocity 1263 yds. per minute, 1; Whitehead and Booths' Liberty Belle, time 21ir. 18mln. lOsec., velocity 1241 yards per minute, 2; C. D. and 0. Abraham's The Gift, time 2hr. 21min. 25sec., velocity 1241 yards per minute, 3; Booth Bros.' Craganour, time 2hr. 19mill. oOsefc., velocity 1240 yards per miuute; England and Hudson's Zigger, time 2hr. 22min. 50sec., velocity, 1206 yards per minute. The next race will bo from Waipukurau.
