ACCOUNTANT STUDENTS' SOCIETY
Tliero was a good attendance at the meeting of the Wellington Accountant Students' Society, held last evening. Tho president annoiuiced tliat the annual meeting of the society would be held on November 24, and stated that the committee had decided to send a printed Christmas greeting to tho thirty members of tho society who were serving with His Majesty's Forces. • The president read a letter regarding tho heroic way Sergeant Hubert Hamilton, an old member of tho society, who was serving with the Mounted Signallers, met his death while assisting a wounded comrade. A resolution of sympathy to his relatives was carried by members rising silentlv to their feet. Mr. F. A. Barclay, F.1.A.N.Z., then gave his lecture oil "Executorship Ancounts."' 'file lecturer dealt with the difficult question of apportionments as between capital and mcome, and emphasised tho rules that should guide the student in leading him to a right decision. At the conclusion of his lecture, Mr. Barclay was asked a series of difficult questions, to which lie provided clear and satisfactory answers. Ho was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for his interesting, lecture.
